U87 Problem
U87 died - no sound. We swapped out the capsule and found it's the
electonics portion that has the problem. Any suggestions on how/where might be the best way to get this checked out? Thanks, Bill |

Just send it to Neumann. Your time is worth more than they'll charge for it. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Thanks, Bill Send it to Neumann in Old Lyme, CT. I've copied Dwight Stevenson, their main mic guy. Take it up with him. I'd let Dwight sleep with my wallet. Talk to me about the K2... what do you like about it? Quiet (when intended !). The variable patterns. And last but not least - the sound. Non-hyped (gentle and small) treble boost, extended and 'silky' HF response, and warm-but-not-indistinct deep bass. The build quality is pretty good too. Thanks for the info... that's one I've been thinking about trying out. -- Neil Henderson Progressive Rock http://www.saqqararecords.com |
