Default Whatever happened to Emagic Waveburner?

Did that product fall off the face of the earth, or what? I do all my
recording on a Mac, but I like CD Architect, so I do CD stuff on the
PC. It seems like Waveburner has (or had) similar features to CD
Architect, but I don't see any online vendor selling Waveburner (no
mention of it at emagic.de). I already have Toast/Jam/Peak LE 3.21,
and it doesn't have the regions features I need. Thanks.

thanks. hopefully waveburner will bounce back, be panther-compatible,
and be more affordable. if so, i hope apple keeps it pro. jam/toast is
consumer-oriented, that's why it doesn't work for me. cd architect was
gone for a while, and a new version was released after sony bought
sonic foundry. maybe the same thing will happen with apple.

I think that Apple had them silently ditch it. For a while Emagic claimed
to be working on an OS X version of it, but it's no longer in their
product list. I don't really understand why; Apple doesn't have a
competing product.

It has fallen into the pi8t of OSX-unreadyness; Apple wants it to use
the OS's built-in burning capabilities, which do not yet support
Redbookl. This is a bit of a problem for a CD burnin' app.

One of these daze it'll rear a new head.
