I'm on a budget... a really tight budget. But I have enough equipment
so that I've had no problem getting a proffessional sound on everything but voice and drums. here are my questions: 1) Whats the cheapest mic/pre-amp/whatever else I can get to get that a really good (doesnt have to be pro) sounding vocal track. 2) What's the cheapest mic setup for drums while still getting an "I-miked-3-times-and-edited-obsessively-every-drum" sound I have a really good Yamaha MG mixer and a tascam us 224 usb recording interface with an imac, which has Cubasis, and a sickening double-digit number of audio plugins. I have a spring reverb unit, a dual 15-band EQ, and a good Shure PG58 dynamic mic (which is ok for voice, but I need a condenser for the fullness). I'd like to spend as little money as possible to get an awesome sound for both. Anyone got any suggestions for what to get/how to set it up? |
