Default Is a crossover needed for bandpass boxes?

I read somewhere that bandpass boxes naturally filter out high frequencies.
So would I still need to use a crossover?

Thanks
Jon

Yeah, I read that too. I had two vehicles ( removed one of the BP boxes for
now, may put it back, )with BP boxes. They definitely sound better
(cleaner) with the LPF engaged.

Besides, why would you want to send the all the freq's to subs ?

Yes... All the power the amp exerts amplifying high frequency tones goes
to waste. Just because the high freq tones can not be heard through a
BP, doesn't mean they are not being amplified.

And a subsonic filter may not be a bad idea either!
