I just received my Lynx2. My previous card was Delta1010, and I am trying to
see if I can use Lynx2 similar to how I used the delta. Also have some unrelated questions. 1. With the delta1010, the monitor inputs (L,R) appear to applications as separate inputs (i.e. separate from the analog and digital inputs). This was a great feature, because I could play a softsynth, and then in SX or something, I could choose the monitor inputs and this would enable me to capture the digital audio that the softsynth was spittig out without having to plug an output to an input and go through a D/A and A/D. Please tell me the Lynx2 can do this. Someone on another forum told me it can, but I see no indication of this. 2. On the Lynx site, there is a pdf file that talks about the mixer. It shows inputs labeled LB1, LB2 which are Loopback1 and Loopback2. Are these like the Delta Monitor inputs? The thing is, in my Lynx2 mixer (I have the 6 in 2 out version by the way), I do not see those inputs! What is going on? 3. The Lynx site has beta drivers that are for WDM. But they also include GSIF, ASIO, etc. I need GSIF, but are these drivers ok. Lynx gives a warning saying that the drivers can be dangerous! 4. On the delta, I could control the number of buffers so as to determine ASIO latency. It was very convenient. When I choose a buffer size, it would tell me what latency it corresponds to. I don't see any means to do this on the Lynx2 mixer. How do you adjust the Lynx2 latency? thanks, brian |
