Rode NT2000 or AKG C4000B?

could someone have tested the new one Rode nt-2000? Would it be a better choice than akg c 4000 b? Here's probably the first review of the NT2000 - http://mixonline.com/ar/audio_rde_nt_2/index.htm A bunch of C4000B comments from RAP are here - http://makeashorterlink.com/?N1FC26AA6 Curious...why those two mics? It would help if you were a tiny bit more forthcoming with some details...like what kind of instrument is being recorded (or whether it's a male or female vocalist and some notes about the character of that particular vocalist), the rest of the recording chain, and so on. Even then, narrowing down your mic choices between any two close competitors, without being there to listen to what's going on is at best a shot in the dark. Throw in the fact that hardly anyone has heard the brand new NT2000, and your question becomes pretty much unanswerable. I would suggest you rent the mics and listen for yourself in your own recording environment...if that's possible. |
