: Hi, Does any one know how to wipe the codes from a head unit it was fine to the battery was disconnected. Any help would be great. If it was easy to "wipe" the codes, it wouldn't be a very good security feature, would it? If you just want help to get your unit working again, you need to provide more info. Is it an OEM HU? If it is, the code and entry instructions would have come with the car - if you have the car but not the code, a dealer should be able to help if you give him the car make, model, year, and especially VIN, and the HU serial. If you have the serial but no info on what car it came from, you'll probably have to prove that you legally own the head unit to get a dealer to give you the code. If you don't have the VIN or serial, you're probably screwed - it is exactly this lack of info that keeps people from being able to use stolen radios. If it's an aftermarket HU, contact the maker (good luck!) -- -------------------- Alan "A.J." Franzman Email: a.j.franzman at verizon dot net -------------------- |
