avalon u5 vs m5 di
One of the real advantages the U5 has over many other direct boxes, is
that it outputs either line level or mic level. By outputting line level, you not only get a better signal to run over long distances of cabling, but you don't have to tie up an additional mic pre at the other end like you would with most direct boxes. I just realized this has nothing to do with the original question. But i just love the U5! If you're a bass player, try using one live going first into the U5 and then into your regular back line bass amp with the "Active to Thru" button switched on for a real treat! |
