Well, up until a couple of weeks ago I'd been able to connect to it fine.
There was still activity there. Then my Windows XP crashed and I had to do
a system reinstall, since then I haven't been able to get it. I wasn't sure
if the news server was "news.sekd.com" or "news.sekd.net", but I've tried to
set it up using both and when tell Outlook Express to search for groups I
just get an error that the server can't be found.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

tried again just now and my newsreader times out without
connecting.

Never mind, it worked. I still get a spurious timeout message, but I
can still retrieve and read messages there. Probably been OK the whole
time and I didn't realize it.
