Default Crossover recommendation

Hi,

I currently use a subwoorfer in addition to my usual speakers.

This subwoofer is fed by an amplifier having its own built-in active filter,
connected to the rest by cables coming from the main speakers.

I want to replace this by an active crossover to go to multi-amp.

So I am looking for recommandations regarding the best possible 2 ways
active crossover (compatible with my budget below), provided that my
preamplifier has RCA outputs (no XLR), so the crossover should accept RCA
inputs, or we have to find a way to transform RCA to XLR.

The audio quality is my primary concern, because the rest of the equipment
has been carefully chosen and I want a very detailed sound but without any
agressivity or distorsion that I have sometimes faced with the cheap "pro"
equipment (I love the Class A sound or triode sound...you see what I
mean...).

My budget for the crossover is around 1.000 to 1.500 $ max.

Thanks for recommandations regarding Brand/model or anything else. People
having a true knowledge can contact me directly at:

Tks
N

What are your usual speakers? Where do you want to cross-over?

Is this for a PA system or a studio application? How clean does it have to
be?

You can easily use cables to do that. Not a problem.

Then you won't find anything in your price range. Doing clean filters is
surprisingly difficult. You might look for a used Sumo box. But you will
not be satisfied with the Rane or the like.
