best bass guitar 2003-2004? beginners...what shoudl I choose

Should I go fot a fender , a mexican or a PB. i am just starting out. I know
some chords with my classical guitar and some finger style movements. Not
much.



Want to sue my bass gutar to record them in cubase sx. I been on secuencer
land for 7 years, so i guess I do not need to play bass well, i can record
all over again.

Whatever brand/model, there is a lot of difference between individual
instruments. Best to audition several before spending.
