John Mayer donates to local Isabel relief efforts
Kate Bredimus Richmond.com Tuesday October 28, 2003 National recording artist and 2003 Grammy Award-winner John Mayer has announced he will donate a portion of the proceeds from his upcoming concert at the Richmond Coliseum to the Local Disaster Fund of the Greater Richmond Red Cross. For each ticket sold, $.50 will be donated to the Red Cross to assist relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Isabel. In a press statement released by the Coliseum Mayer said, "After seeing the damage from Hurricane Isabel, I wanted to do my part and contribute to the relief effort." Mayer received a Grammy this year for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the song "Your Body Is A Wonderland" off of 2001's Room For Squares. The record has since gone triple platinum. The singer/songwriter is currently on tour to promote his latest studio release for Columbia Records, Heavier Things. Mayer comes to the Richmond Coliseum on Sunday, Nov. 23, with special guests The Thorns. Tickets are $34.50 and are available through Ticketmaster outlets. |

Well it sounds like John Mayer has been clinging to Dave's nuts since

It means John Mayer is the biggest rip-off since Behringer started

Now to me, Coldplay's singer sounds just like Dave Mathews, I get them mixed up all the time.
