I know this has nothing to do with Audio, but since most of us that have
nice stereo systems like our cars smelling good too, I fugured I can get some recommendations. I exercise every morning here in the Navy and I carry my sweaty clothes most of the day in my car till I get home. Although I carry it in a backpack, the smell of the humidity comes through. I've tried these trees and canned fresheners, but they don't seem to last that long (2 weeks the most). Is there a real good long lasting and strong air freshners? What's the name and where can I buy them? Thanks to all..... |

i dont think an air freshener is your answer. you need a odor absorber. arm
and hammer. you use it in your fridge to get the stank out, you can put it in your car too. if you use that in your gym bag it will get some the stank out. i use it in my gym bag to keep my **** smellin straight. you can use whatever kind of air freshener you want. and that new febreze auto **** works good too. Yeah, I'll agree with that. That Frebreeze stuff works wonders. I had one of my daughters sippy cups half full of milk that had sat in my hot truck for a couple of weeks spill (in case anyone is unclear, 2 week old solidified milk smells REAL bad). Anyway, all would've been ok until the lid came off and I had solid milk all over my back floor. Well, I tried scrubbing & washing it real good and leaving the windows down for a couple days but man, it still stunk. Then my wife took Frebreeze and sprayed a little in my truck and it stunk like Frebreeze for a couple hours but then, nothing. My ride smelled fine then! As far as air fresheners go, I don't know which last the longest, I normally have it done when my car is washed. Also, the baking soda is a good idea. That stuff will absorb just about any odor. I'd suggest putting a box of arm-n-hammer in the trunk (open the box but position so it doesn't spill all over the place) and store your clothes back there. Or, maybe get yourself an air tight bag for the clothes (like a big ziplock), though if left for more than a day you might have mold growth on your clothes? Michael (LS) |
