I have recently installed a Pioneer DEH-P5500MP into a 2002 VW Golf GL. I
love it; I think it's a great improvement over the stock cassette/radio unit. However, I'm having a bit of trouble burning CDs to play in it. I have (until now) used MusicMatch Jukebox 7.5 (paid version) to rip, catalog and store all my music. I've discovered, however, that the 5500MP won't play Windows Media Audio files (WMAs) burned using MMJB. Some more miscellaneous facts about the situation: * If I use MMJB to create a CD containing only WMAs, the 5500MP displays "NO AUDIO" when I insert the CD; * If I use MMJB to create a CD containing WMAs and MP3s, the 5500MP plays the MP3s but skips over the WMAs as if they weren't there; * J-River's Media Jukebox product rips and burns WMAs that play just fine; * Windows Media player rips WMAs that play fine when I burn 'em using Nero, as long as the WMAs haven't been touched by MusicMatch; * As soon as I edit the WMA tags with MusicMatch, or even put the WMAs into MMJB's music library, they seem to become corrupted--the 5500MP won't play them, but any PC-based WMA player handles them just fine Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to do what I want using MusicMatch, and avoid paying for another jukebox product? I like MusicMatch's interface better than that of Media Jukebox. Unfortunately, MusicMatch will only provide support through e-mail, and each message back and forth takes a minimum of two days. That's going nowhere. Thanks in advance for your help. |

You have rights management turned on.. It is COPY PROTECTING the WMA's when
you burn them they won't play. Only on the computer.. Turn that off and burn again and you should be fine. LH "Cat Carson" wrote in message t... Thank you for the reply. I did check that already. I always keep DRM off. If
you have any other suggestions, though, I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks! "N/A" wrote in message ... You have rights management turned on..
