Default Prophet V question

Greetings all. Has anyone ever replaced the memory backup battery in a Prophet
V? I'd like to know (before I go in) if it's a hassle to replace, and what type
of battery is required.
Thanks in advance

Default Prophet V question

Hi Steve,

you'll need to desolder the existing battery and solder in the new one.
Sequential rate it at 2.9 volts, but a 3 volt Lithium type will do just
fine.
I can't remember the size but I think it might be 2/3AA, but take a look and
it should be printed on the battery itself. Note that this is not a
rechargeable battery as often found in backup circuits so don't get a Nicad
or Nickel metal hydride.

Removing the battery loses all your programs so back up to cassette first.

Gareth.
