might be able to put it under one of your seats inside the car. but most
people dont reccomend it (includin me). side panel of your trunk? above/behind where the rear wheel well is. is the box flush with the back seats? maybe you can gain some space there if there is room. could it be mounted on the box itself? "Mike Sims" wrote in message ... Well ... I yet again made a purchase without considering the installation. This time, it was a Hifonics ZX6400 4 Channel amp. My previous amp (A Pioneer GM-X304) was short enough to mount to the larger of my split / 60 fold rear seat in my '95 Sentra. This amp is about 1 inch to long to even fit in the old amps location. I considered mounting it to the floor in the trunk, but this 15" Kicker sub woofer required a pretty beefy box which I built three weeks ago. I cannot even get the box into the trunk, unless I remove the carpet and the spare tire, put the box in the trunk, then have someone lift the box up and out of the way while I put the spare tire and carpet back into the trunk. This makes mounting the amp on the floor of the trunk rather difficult, because the sub box consumes about 80% of the volume in the trunk, and most of the floor space. Can someone (experienced in these matters) suggest an alternate location for mounting this amp? |
