Default amp power wire

In most cars there are more possible places to run
a wire through the firewall on the drivers side of the car.

Any ideas as to what part of the firewall is easiest to get the wire thru?
I have found one factory grommet on the passenger wide with some wires going
thru it, but I am not sure if I should cut into the boot to send the wire
thru there.
I want to put the amp in the trunk. Since the battery is on the driver's
side, would I be better off running the power wire on that side?

The wife thinks I should have someone else do it, but I already bought all
the wire & such, and once I get the power wire thru the firewall, I think
the rest will be easy.

Thanks

I have a 1999 Altima as well.

In my install (which I did myself), I ran the power wire down the
drivers side, the RCAs down the middle, and the speaker wire down the
right side. Specifically for power, I drilled a new hole in the
firewall. I don't know if cutting into an existing grommet is a good
idea if you have other options. If you drill a new home, please do not
shove your power wire through it without a grommet.

Overall, If you have the goods, I say you go for it! I have my install
on sounddomain (http://www.sounddomain.com/id/blaqaltima) if you need
some pointers. Hope this helps!
