subject:condensor shockmount doesn't fit on normal mic stand

HI

I bought a shockmount(condensor) and I also bought a standard
senheiser mic stand, but the shockmount doesn't fit on the mic stand.
What can I do? I haven't found any information online to solve this
problem. And every shockmount is using the same thingy, so how od you
guys connect it to your mic stands?

Check if the shockmount has a screw-in insert (I forget what they're called,
but they usually have 2 diametrically opposite slits for unscrewing) which
sits in the coupling that matches your mic stand.

Are you meaning that some mic mounts have a sleeve that screws inside the
mount so that it will fit stands with a smaller screw diamater than the
standard mic stand? I've seen that on camera gear (sleeve screws into
camera tripod hole to make it smaller), didn't know they did that on audio
gear too. On cameras it's to adapt to a typically European stand or camera.

Yes, that's what he's saying. That's exactly the same reason, too, to fit a
European stand.

made by an obscure company in Germany. Honestly, try
searching for the term "21600N" online to see for yourself.
