Default Cubasis question

Hi all,
A few months ago I purchased cubasis to record some songs ive written. I had
used cakewalk before that. Im starting to wonder if cubasis is more limited
than cakewalk was. Ive spent a decent amount of time on one song and have used
all 8 audio tracks available. Does anyone know how to open up more tracks for
additional audio tracks? is it possible or is 8 all you get? I also want to
have 2 effects on one of the audio tracks (Main vocal track) I have Chourus on
it but want to have reverb also. I cant seem to get more that one effect per
track though. Can we only have one effect per track on this software?
If anyone knows a better newsgroup to post these questions to please advise.

I also think im gonna upgrade to some better software and would like to get
opinions on what to use. I think id like to stay with Steinberg because I
assume the controls will be similar and I wont have to spend too much time
learning how to use everything.

Thanks for any help....
