Hi there
With all these budget mics on the market and me being involved in a live project that requires quite a few mics (drums, wind, vocals, guitar), I was wondering if there were any of the real budget ones that are worth considering and any companies that people would rather stay away from. I know Rode has a great reputation, but when you see the $39 V57 at musiciansfriend it getīs you thinking that even rodes seem expensive! I have a few good mics (MD421, AKG 414, Shure SM59, 2 x Beyer 260) but it would be nice to be able to get say 6 or 8 different mics if I knew which of the real budget ones where good for general use.
