I've been using a Logic system with a Lynx Aurora 16, AES 16 and Grace
801 and 201 preamps for years, and my present problem seems to have suddenly emerged out of nowhere. The system used to be naturally level matched in that when the Grace's clipped, the ins on the Lynx we're just near peaking, as were the meters on Logic. Now it seems that the Grace's are nowhere near peaking when the converters and DAW meters are red hot. Reading the Aurora manual hasn't shed any light on the situation, nor has restoring the Aurora to factory settings. The "Trim" control in AES mode allows for -10 or +4 settings, but these don't seem to rectify the problem either. Any thoughts about why there would suddenly be these inconsistencies? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |
