The pungent fumes of trendiness and fashionability depress me, but
every once in a while something really improves my perspective. I cane home earlier today and found in the mail a pack of DVD-Rs someone sent me from Canada. On these are really superb versions of many Capitol era Sinatra recordings in .flac format. There was no note as to where they were from but the sound is quite magnificent. Someone up there- as, in Canada-seems to like me. These are the same tracks capitol has reissued time and again, but better than any other versions I have heard from modern digital sources. Specifically, they are clearly NOT the dog**** Bob Norberg butcher jobs we have been afflicted with for the last decade. I have no idea who sent them but my guess is it had something to do with the Pabst Ampex motors I GAVE to a guy who was restoring an real pro tape machine a couple of years ago from a transport he pulled out of a dumpster after some cocksucker cannibalized the electronics to resell to the Assbini ****heads. Whatever, it's like having an older woman friend prove to be a masterful fellatrix-if you know what's good for you, never ask where she learned that skill set! Run through a good set of homemade tube amps into reworked, JBL 2404H tweeted Klipsches, I was hearing Frank as he maybe hasn't been heard in decades. That's something the consumo set who don't build and tinker will never understand. It improved my day considerably. |
