![]() I'm referring to the horrific, family-destroying hijinks of South Carolina's Gov. Sanford (a Republican). He lied to his family, he lied to the press, and he lied to the electorate of his state. He tried to close the door on his sexual shenanigans the same way the monstrous atheist Elliott Spitzer did in New York. By slinking off on the sly to a faraway tryst, Sanford showed exactly how much esteem he holds for the "institution of marriage". The web of lies he wove to conceal his immorality shocks the conscience. Of course, every "conservative" knows this kind of sexual escapade is a minor peccadillo compared to the cataclysmic destruction of holy matrimony wrought by the satanic Pres. Clinton. He forced a naive young women to fellate him. By this act the heinous Clinton degraded all women and set back their march to equality by at least 3 years. (Maybe even longer than 3 years; scientists are still studying the long-term effects of the Oval Office BJ.) That is why Clinton needed to be impeached, but Sanford just needs some moral rehabilitation. I'm sure Clydemeister Sacky will be able to explain to Witless's satisfaction why Sanford's betrayal of his family is not "immoral" even though Barney Frank's association with a pimp was "immoral". Our "conservative" contingent is quite resourceful when it comes to the pliability of common words. -- "There are words and there are definitions. Sometimes the definition of a word changes with context" -- Scottie Witlessmongrel, RAO, June 24, 2009 |

IN both cases, what is immoral is the breach of trust with their constituents. Both examples raise security concerns, by at some point exposing the politicians to extortion (at least until the behavior became public). Both were a breach of the public trust. Who wants a governor who disappears unnanounced for six days, his staff doesn't know where he is and when he will be back, and not even the LT Gov was in the loop. ANd you would think the FBI' knew all about it, I mean, they would investigate the unannounced absence as a potential crime, and check airline records. |

IN both cases, what is immoral is the breach of trust with their Sorry, I thought you'd realize my challenge was rhetorical. Your cockamamie rationalizations are not needed because. By virtue of your demented ranting about Rep. Frank, you permanently disqualified yourself from talking about morality. Or at least being taken seriously. |

What's most alarming is the sheer stupidity factor. I don't mind that
the guy is having an affair (after all, every Argentinian woman I've ever met embodied most of the qualities that heterosexual men find highly distracting), it's the fact that he didn't think a governor would cause a ****storm by disappearing for a few days. These are clearly not leadership qualities. And this was one of the guys the Republicans were grooming for 2012? Between this and Palin's woes, this Republicans probably won't have a viable candidate for the next three general elections. |

Using his rationale, every person who has ever held up a protest sign should be sentenced to death for sedition. What a distinctly un- American viewpoint he possesses. |

She probably won't even be re-elected as governor at this point. |

I'm hoping he's ready with an ambush like the one he sprung on Paris Hilton. |
