The news coverage is pointing to her being a goner. I think if they
could have cut out the cancerous part of her liver they would have
done it (the liver actually regenerates) but they haven't, which means
it's The End for her.

I never thought she was that hot, and she certainly was a lousy
actress at first, but to her credit she did improve a great deal and
became a fairly good actress later in her career. And it was a long
career, she did "Myra Breckenridge" in 1970 and was active until 2004
or so.

Still, she was a big icon at an interesting time and even if she was
no genius, she'll be missed. I feel bad for her. I even feel bad for
Ryan O'Neal, although in general I think he's a prick who deserves a
punch in the chops.
