A while back I reviewed the iKey, a portable budget digital audio recording device, and found it had a colored noise floor. Recently I bought the iKey Plus, which has a street price of about $120. (adjusting for inflation it could be audio nirvana for 39.95). Unfortunately it had a ticking sound just above the noise floor. It's something most would never notice, but once it is pointed out it is difficult to ignore. I returned it for a refund. 2. For Boston area members: There will be a performance of Mahler's 2nd symphony with Zander and the BPO at Symphony Hall on March 11.
