The politically charged contract was initially awarded in February
2008 to Northrup Grumman and EADS. But the deal was withdrawn in July after US aerospace giant Boeing successfully appealed the decision with backing from members of Congress. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090318...20090318202234 Why are you so vocal about small inconsequential 'points' and so silent on the ones that really matter? This single conract will likely swamp the $7 billion in earmarks you've been wailing, weeping and whining about recently. How do you feel about "bid appeals"? Do you 'think' there might be some lobbying going on here? Do you 'think' there might be some pork/ earmarks involved here? And what do you 'think' about Airbus getting a contract? Should we buy European tanker planes if they outbid Boeing? Or should we "buy American" regardless of the cost to the taxpayers? Go ahead, 2pid: tell us what you 'think'. LoL. Imbecile. |
