I would strongly recommend that you try out the Traveler Mk3 w/ a Mac
before drawing any conclusions. The use of MOTU hardware with PCs
has always been problematic, while using the gear with Mac computers
is very straightforward and has proved very reliable.

I don't disagree with the Mac support part, but I've been running an
828 MkII for over two years on an AMD system with Sony Vegas that's
given me no problems at all. (Here's hoping that continues. )


.... and me a 2408/2 and 24i for many years with PCI324 424 drivers which are
'completely featured' and perfectly stable. Maybe their Windows dude left
