I am planning on replaceing the foam surrounds on the woofer of 3 speaker pairs.
One pair, SpeakerLab 7's has both a 10" and a 12" woofer. It appears that the woofer of the 10" unit has the surround inverted - the foam "bulge" goes inward, rather than the more common outward bulge. Would this require a special foam surround, or do I just invert a regular one. Or does it matter? The required surround in both cases is for a "flat" connection to the speaker cone. |
