Makes it from what?

If you're importing 16 bit data, making simple edits, and then exporting
to a 16-bit .wav file, most of the applications are pretty much the same
and most of them will be bit-for-bit true. If you are doing anything
else, even simple stuff like normalization, the processing will be different.
