I am over at a friend's house. For some reason he bought one of
these:

Not one of the best CD players I've ever heard. In fact, downright
mediocre.

It does appear to be low hours and in good shape. Would replacing it
and putting it on ebay or getting a good outboard DAC be a better
option?
