Big, fat single coil electric guitar pickup used in older Gibsons
before the humbuckers were developed. Commonly called
"soapbars" particularly when fitted with cream colored covers.

Pete Townshend favored the P-90 equiped SG during the mid
to late '60s.

It's a guitar pickup made by Gibson. It's a single coil instead of a
humbucker. You can find it these days on the Gibson 330. A Gibson 335 is
really a 330 with humbuckers more or less (there is no sustain block
either). Epiphone has a model of this 330 that they called a Casino.
Paul, George and John all used Casinos and the P-90 pickup is a major
component of the Beatles sound from 1965 till the end for example.

A 330 is a full hollow body, a 335's neck block goes all the way to the
tailpiece, dividing the two hollow "wing" sections above and below it. The
two guitars aren't similar either in sound or feel.
