Hello friends,
I have been using GoldWave for about 3 years now for audio editing. Here's what I do: -- I use GW to record vocal and instrumental through a normal sound interface that comes in PCs. -- Then I use GW for audio editing -- including EQ, some effects (delay, reverb, etc.) -- Sometimes, I use GW for mixing audio files (like voice, instrumental, etc.) (I also use Multiquence to mix in multitrack situations.) Here's my question: Do I have to look at software like SoundForge / Audacity or any other program for more professional **results**? What's that SF can do that GW cannot do? Also Is there any difference in audio quality due to different / better algorithms? Like would the quality of reverb be better in SF than GW? Which program would you pros recommend for audio editing and multitrack mixing? Thanks in advance. |
