Default Really good sounding CDs

If you like acoustic guitar music, check out Laurence Juber's offerings.
All of them are recorded in his home studio, except his latest, "PCH",
which was done at Capital. Really great, natural acoustic guitar sound.
And oh yeah, LJ is, in the opinion of most players, the state of the art
in acoustic playing.

Amazon shows a DVD, too, "Understanding DADGAD". Ask for it by name!

Good for you for supporting your local store! In case they don't have
them, go to http://www.acousticmusicresource.com They are super fast
at getting things out for you. All the usual online places have them as
well: amazon, etc. Great stuff. If you like the Beatles, try that one.

Heal quickly...

It's been so long since I bought anything, how can this be purchased? It
would be nice to have a reference recording re my own efforts.

I found 2 cd of Laurence Juber at my local store. But I won't get it
today : we have "another" snow storm (the 8th this winter) and my wife
really hate driving during a snow storm (anyway who's dumb enough to
like driving in a snow storm?) So she will probably going to get them
next friday. I already found out that I have 1 cd with one song from
Laurence Juber :Acoustic Heart - The Passion and Romance of Acoustic
Guitar Masters with various guitarist and if you really like acoustic
guitar this is one cd to have. Another great guitarist is Tommy Emmanuel.

Jocelyn

P.S.: Jenn I don't want to heal to quickly;-) Now that I (finally) have
some time to listen to my music... One question to you Jenn: Since you
are a conductor, have you ever record your music? If yes where can I get it?

As a conductor, nothing released yet, though there's something I did in
2006 with the winds of the L.A. Chamber Orchestra (Strauss wind music)
that's recorded and ready to go whenever Naxos thinks the time is right.
As a player, I'm on several things.

What I remember is something like this, for 8-13 players, on the stage
at Royce Hall, UCLA:

3
x x x x
x x
x x
x 2 2 x
x x

Me

1

1 = pair, Blumlein, I believe, about 12' high
2 = Large condensers, about 8' high
3 = large condenser, about 5' high

That's as best as I can recall. I can write someone and get more
details. Today I would pay more attention, as I've gained an interest
in recording. The playback sounded great. Final result: 68 min of
music recorded in 120 min (3 forty min sets). On the cheap for sure,
but sounded great. Some of the best L.A. players.
