I've got two questions concerning my Denon 2808 receiver...

* How do I get pure stereo out, when there is a stereo input in?
Whenever I hit "pure direct," it clicks and says "PURE DIRECT" for a
second then the display goes blank. the sound turns off. if you move
the volume knob, the display comes back (no additional click), but
there is still no sound. i want to be able to do stereo without going
into speaker set-up.

* Is there a way to activate the farroudja scaling? i'm using HDMI
input and output. say the Foo Fighters DVD looks really pixelated and
I want to turn on and off the scaling to see the effect

I looked at the manual and all I can suggest is repeating the setup
process. You might try using the direct inputs (the ones for analog
DVD-A and SACD), but that's only good for one source.

Be sure you selected the right audio mode for your source!
