Default Tascam HD-P2 powers down after about 15 seconds

I thought that it was some other power adapter on my
deck -- while it was raining -- for several days.

To my horror, when I tried to find the Tascam adapter,
it turned out to be on the deck -- in the rain.

So, I dried it off. It looked fine. I powered up
the HD-P2, and found that it does fine, for about 15 seconds,
and then powers off again.

I don't have enough batteries to test with right now.

I hope that it's a coincidence, or moreover, I guess I
hope that it is the power adapter that is causing the
problem -- that would be cheaper.

Thanks,

Tobiah
