Default Where's Johnny Vee?

Due to all the early rain he's been having major tree problems, one of which
tore down his power and killed his modem. He's been busy and hasn't
replaced it and I don't have a spare one anymore. I think he's actually
liking not being online all the time.

I didn't know John was a ventriloquist. *Kewl*.

What, I have to defend myself when I answer a question about a person I work
with daily? He's chosen to do other things than replacing his modem and
being online, and I, for one, understand it. Besides, it's summer and his
son is home from school. I think if anyone looks at his past history
they'll see that his summertime posts A) don't reflect taking typing
lessons, and B) reflect that his son takes precedence. And John and family
are such good people that they are always welcome at my house, and when one
of the trees took out his power recently we had dinner here along with a
couple of movies. Something I would do for most anyone I could trust. John
is trustworthy and articulate, if not evidenced by his typing. In fact,
he's on his way over to borrow my van because his is full of equipment from
this past weekend's endeavors, and he wants to pick up some 703.

You guys tell me whom you would trust with your vehicle and why. I think it
might be an interesting thread.

BTW, I'd be willing to offer the same to Ty, Mike Rivers and Scott Dorsey
any time they needed it as long as it didn't interfere with my work. Here
in DC we have a pretty tightly knit group of RAPsters, and I continue to be
amazed at what any of our RAPsters are willing to do to support each other.
So rather than make jokes, let's hear it for the people that come here to
offer support. And realize that it doesn't stop at the [Enter].

The guy just made a silly play-on-words between "modem" and "madam".
It's wasn't funny, but surely wasn't insulting to you or Johnny.

Bravo. We need more of that in this world, particularly these days.

Still have room for a good laugh, though ;

Absolutely it wasn't intended that way... and I was kinda surprised when I saw
Roger's post adressing mine in that manner. It was just intended as an
innocuous little pun - so, Roger, here's my sincere apologies if you felt it
was insulting towrds yourself or Johnny.

And, Tommy.... it was TOO funny! : )

Thank you, I'll be here all week... don't forget to tip your wait staff.
