Hi. What is the "Better" way to sync Ableton Live 2 to a Hard disk
recorder. The Recorder (iZ Radar) puts out MTC and SMPTE. Will Live
see MTC just as a "Start & Stop" message? Or will it actually
Sychronize to the Radars MTC? If I get a MTC to Midi clock converter
and use Midi clock, is that just a "Start & Stop" message? Damn I'm
confused.

Are you using a sequencing app that's in sync with the Radar? Ableton runs
well on rewire

in Sonar and Cubase (and others maybe), with sample accurate sync.

Hi,
the first one is right.
-MTC(Miditimecode) in LIVE is only start&stop, you have to set the bpm manual
-Midiclock is all, start&stop and synchronize

so i´ve you use a MTC-to-Midiclock converter everything should work at its best.
