[Steve[_3_]]

Hi all;

I have a Hitachi D-E1 cassette deck in my basement I would like to revive.
It seems to be in perfect shape with the exception of all the belts in it.
They all seem to have dryed out to the point where they won't turn anything
they are attached to.

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the belts in this unit? There seems to
be 4, the main belt is flat driving the capstan, then there is a connecting
belt from the motor to the rest of the tape transport mechinisim. then
there are two others (can't tell what they do) including one to the
coutnter.

I am hesatant to measure these belts as the dimensions may have changed as
they dried out.
