John Demarest Bryant was born October 26, 1943 in Washington DC, the
son of Lyle C. Bryant and Nola I. Wingo.

After graduating from Columbia Military Academy, Columbia, TN in 1961
and (after first attending Antioch College, Yellow Springs, OH)
American University, Wash DC (BA in Math) in 1968, he and his wife
moved to San Francisco, CA, where he completed the manuscript “Systems
Theory and Scientific Philosophy”, and found a publisher for it.
Moving back to the East Coast, John delved into commodities trading in
and around Philadelphia, PA. He re-found his niche as a writer just
before moving to the Tampa Bay area in Dec of 1995.

He was the creator of the website ” http://www.thebirdman.org ” and
originator of the weekly (by subscription only) newsletter called the
Birdman’s Weekly Letter (now discontinued).

He also wrote approx. 40 books, from the “Everything You Wanted to
Know …” (Mortal Words) series to “Better than Shakespeare”, a rewrite
of the major Shakespearean sonnets.

He assembled a Libertarian Cartoon book, with original cartoons, many
of which appeared originally in Instauration and other magazines of
the alternative press.

My father is from Oklahoma as well, raised on a farm near Rush Springs
during the Depression. I've spent some time there as well; there's
something mystical and primal about a place where the wind is always
howling over the plains.

My father is from Oklahoma as well, raised on a farm near Rush Springs
during the Depression.

For my Mom and Dad it was Chelsea, up by Claremore. Population 2000,
probably a quarter of them related to me in some way. I spend some time
there every other summer until I was 16...riding horses, shooting
pistols with my cousins (largely at snakes)... The most humid place
I've ever been.

I've spent some time there as well; there's
something mystical and primal about a place where the wind is always
howling over the plains.

Ha! Speaking of "Oklahoma" on the drive back to Tulsa for our flight
home, we found THE "Surrey With the Fringe on Top" in Claremore. Funny!

My father is from Oklahoma as well, raised on a farm near Rush Springs
during the Depression.

For my Mom and Dad it was Chelsea, up by Claremore. *Population 2000,
probably a quarter of them related to me in some way. *I spend some time
there every other summer until I was 16...riding horses, shooting
pistols with my cousins (largely at snakes)... *The most humid place
I've ever been.

I've spent some time there as well; there's
something mystical and primal about a place where the wind is always
howling over the plains.

Ha! *Speaking of "Oklahoma" on the drive back to Tulsa for our flight
home, we found THE "Surrey With the Fringe on Top" in Claremore. *Funny!

The Oklahoma theme continues...I had to do some research on Friday on
Gloria Grahame and her botched plastic surgery, so I watched her sing
one of her tunes from "Oklahoma" to note how she enunciated the words
with cotton stuffed under her upper lip.

I do remember watching a remastered print of "Oklahoma" a few years
ago and was utterly amazed at the picture quality. But I digress.
