single malt, vodka AND cognac selection is going to be even harder....

Let's play it by ear g I'm hopeful that with all the good sushi &
good wine in that town, that there ought to be a place with a good
selection of single-malts. Maybe even close to the Moscone Center.
I'll take a look to see what I can find.

other good delis. There's a place near where my brother lives in Falls
Church, VA, some kind of killer Italian deli. I think it's on Lee
Highway, and it's called "The Italian Store". Last time I was in
there, I bought a couple of cans. They have absolutely great
sandwiches, too.

I don't know what it is, but they sure know how to make coffee in
Europe. Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France... never had a bad cup
over there.

for mention of the island and haven't seen any. Perhaps

wipe it clean and it's almost certain the swell submerged
it, on up and over the platforms that most of the houses
were built on.

On the east end, most were at ground level (barely above sea
level) for some strange reason and I just can't imagine what
their fate, and that of the marina, might be. Did the
causeway survive?
