Exactly.. I'm a big fan of BLUE, I own three of their mics, and I really
want them to be in the right here, but in general, my experience is that
if you're confident of winning on the merits, you can say a lot more
than if it's, you know, "complicated".

FYI, regarding the Latvian connection, IIRC Skipper told me the name
B.L.U.E. stands for "Baltic Latvian Universal Electronics".

mics are manufactured in Latvia, and JZ or whatever they are is a
company in Latvia, we might reasonably conclude that this is a
company that does manufacturing for BLUE. Maybe their laws are such
that when their contract expires, they can do whatever they want, like
build the same microphone under their own name and sell them direct.

I dunno, but I guess we'll find out eventually.

Also, I think the fact that BLUE has just made a deal making E/V a
distributor is a strong indicator of credibility.

But hey, there's always a chance that those of us with "Pre-E/V"
BLUE mics are going to have the really collectible stuff.

I remember those days. First AES show where I saw them, I wasn't quite
sure what it was that they were selling - mostly microphone repairs
and parts, with the hint that they might have enough parts to put
together a whole microphone.

Today, the logo looks like "Blue" (mixed case, no periods) and they
pronounced it like the color.

Ever since I killfiled about a dozen people in RAP, my quality of life has
improved. Seeing the occasional post from someone else that includes portions
of posts from other people is proof enough that I did the right thing.
