The other night, somebody knocked over my Kerry/Edwards signs. This
morning they were gone! Yup, somebody removed them. I noticed some other
(Kerry/Edwards) signs around the neighborhood have also gone missing.
All the Bush signs seem to still be in place.

Well, if we make a big enough crater it would limit their "Big Sky" horizon.
Then again, I guess we could always use another Great Lake. If you don't
mind the mutated fish.

The problem with that statement is that it's not only a statement of fact,
but it's an excuse. I know because I've used it around here trying to
complete all this remodelling work and even my wife started laughing her ass
off last night when Bush first said "It's a lot of hard work". But she
wasn't laughing at Bush, she was laughing at me and pointing her finger! g

Thanks Bush.

Actually, I thought he was much more articulate than usual in this debate.
Neither Kerry nor Bush can hold a candle to Reagan at thinking on their
feet and coming up with quick answers, though, and it really showed. What
I would like to see is for the both of them to debate Tony Blair. That
would be a real death match.

What disturbed me was the huge amount of breath noise on Bush's voice, which
definitely did not make him sound like he was in good control. Was he miked
this way deliberately? You could hear him take a deep breath in before every
question. I heard the debate on the radio so I couldn't see how he was
miked, but I am surprise it wasn't corrected in a run-through.

Interesting. Since you heard it on the radio, how did you view the results?
In the JFK/Nixon debate, JFK came out strong on TV, but interestingly
enough, those that listened on the radio thought that Nixon handily won the
debate.

Was there that kind of disparity in what you heard compared to what the
pundits have been saying?

The stock market is rallying. Seems investors must like the idea of a

I don't know. As I said, I thought Bush was a lot more articulate than he
normally is, but I was disappointed that neither one of them really talked
much about social issues outside of the 9/11 and terrorism things. I would
not give either one of them much credit for explaining why their policies
in general are better than the other guy's.

Sure, we have economic problems, and sure we have a war going on, but what
do they _really_ think about what the war on drugs is doing to our foreign
relations? What do they really think about broadcast ownership rules or
education reform?

Was there that kind of disparity in what you heard compared to what the

I don't have a TV set, and I didn't get the Post this morning, so I don't

Rudy seemed to think a painting at the Brooklyn Museum was sacriligous,
cause it was made out of cowpoop, and portrayed the Madonna.
He was not particularly well reguarded before 9/11, which made him an
