So I have noticed another "Monster Cable Arrows" thread. How many times
has that been done? Anyway, I was paging through the latest MIX magazine, and stopped to read a Zaolla Cable advertisement. For those unfamiliar, Zaolla is another high priced cable company that manufactures their cables out of silver. I think this ad has been running for some time, I just never really stopped to read it. The ad actually states that their cables can help to reduce latency in digital systems. Then they go on to talk about how some cables will round off the square waves of digital signals and introduce jitter. I am by no means an electrical engineer. I can buy the part about jitter, but latency? How could a cable actually reduce latency? -- Eric Practice Your Mixing Skills Multi-Track Masters on CD-ROM www.Raw-Tracks.com |
