Hi gents, I just bought an old TL audio tube eq. Fedex managed to bend the right rack mount ear 90 degrees. Bent it back chipping the paint, but thats not my problem. It's two channels are out of phase. If I flip the channel phase on my board they are ok. It is a 2 channel two band parametric with 4- 12ax7's. They are all matching and my old tube tester says they are ok. Switched all 4 cables. Anyone know where I should look now? Thanks Glenn.

Okay, check one of them against a straight wire and see..... the thing about an equalizer is it doesn't matter if it's pin 3 or pin 2 hot, as long as the output is the same as the input. In your case, either you have a cable miswired, or the output on one channel isn't the same as the input. Find which one it is, then pop the case and look for rework that someone might have done on that channel. That is where you found it. But don't give up on cables yet....check them all out with an ohmmeter and make sure they are the same, don't just swap them out. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Will swap 4 cables one more time. There is a eq in and out button for each channel. I will dbl check with the eq's out and go over the xlr's on the unit. GT. |

Wrong configuration of the leads soldered to the 1/4" input, resulting in 180 degree polarity shift? -- shut up and play your guitar * http://hankalrich.com/ http://www.youtube.com/walkinaymusic http://www.sonicbids.com/HankandShaidri |
