I'm trying to record two independent analog stereo sources into my laptop.
(Coming from two turntables, for digitizing my vinyl at "maximum speed"). Are there any good firewire or usb 2 (or 1 I guess) devices out there for this purpose? I've read about the Midiman and Motu "big" stuff, but that seems like overkill. The firewire 410 from M-Audio looks interesting, but seems to have some negative impressions on drivers and support. The Edirol UA-1000 looks nice but is expensive. The other question/issue is to make sure that it's easy to come away with two independent wav files, one from channel 1/2 and another from channel 3/4. Would be best if I could control record/stop independently per channel set as well. Recommendations welcome, thanks. --Max |
