If you can get a pair of E24s in the same price range as the SRM350s, I will gladly buy them off you. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Are the SA's decent. Goodness. SA are in an entirely different league to Mackie ! They're designed as SR speakers though. I can't think of any SR box that's really suitable to stand in for serious studio monitoring. SA also make a 12" and ribbon in a studio version, it's called M44. Completely different speaker. They actually made several mastering monitors, which were very differently voiced than the PA speakers and some of which had different ribbon drivers. But I don't think the M44 is still made. They dropped a lot of the M line due to their financial problems (caused in part by the distribution channels they selected in the US and Europe), and they have lost a lot of staff in the process as well. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. No, not a troll.
Although the E24 are slightly used (I'll soon see about that), their coming in around a pair of new SRM350's My main purpose for them is actually live acoustic solo act, but I was curious if they would do any sort of studio monitoring decently. If not, OK, they still sound like they may be a good idea to get them as my small club or personal stage monitor needs, either to replace my Bag End Ta12's or to add to them. Condition will certainly be the deciding factor. joe m. |

If the SA speakers are enough for your gigs, get 'em.
