Today at the NAB show I saw a multitrack editing program (including video) for the iPhone http://www.verirecorder.com You can't record multiple tracks simultaneously because there's only a single input (which, I think, can be stereo), but you can add tracks. The person demonstrating it didn't seem to be familiar with the concept of overdubbing and couldn't tell me whether it was possible to hear playback while recording a new track, but if it's possible and not in this version, someone will figure out how to do it. I think it is: http://www.vericorder.com (one too many "re") I wish I had known about it, but I missed it at NAB. Way too much stuff (and information about stuff) to comprehend during 3.5 days. There were lots of iPads to be seen at NAB, many as give-away premiums, and many as teleprompters. I got a little app and hand controller to use my iPod Touch as a mini-teleprompter. |
