Record, mixed & mastered by me. Just like his first one (even tho' he mistakenly also credited our Christine Lilley on it, who didn't even attend one session of the record.) She MUST be better looking than you. ![]() Hey, while I was typing this reply Martin called! I asked him about you and he said you were an extraordinary flat picker in the day. Coming from him, that is quite a compliment. He said to pass on a hello to you. Good thing he qualified that with "in the day." He's much better than I am now, but that's largely because he stuck with music and I got a job. In addition to being a really skilled player, Martin has a very good sense of assimilating musical styles and using what he absorbs very creatively. He doesn't just play what he hears, he makes something new and interesting out of it while keeping all the traditions that go into one of his songs or arrangements intact. Sort of like Ry Cooder (which we both discovered about the same time). Somebody should give him a grant to go to Africa or Cuba. -- "Today's production equipment is IT based and cannot be operated without a passing knowledge of computing, although it seems that it can be operated without a passing knowledge of audio." - John Watkinson |
