Hello all

I am running Pro Tools 6.4.1 under a TDM Mix System [with a USD, Adat
Bridge 24, 888/24 a Mix Core and a Mix Farm].

My desk is a Soundcraft Spirit 328 that provides a Sony 9-pin output
[aka D-Sub or RS-422]. This gives the capability of controlling the
transport remotely from the desk and even record arming, etc. So, I
was thinking of purchasing a Digidesign Machine Control but I thought
about posting a question first whether anyone might have tried this
before with any digital desk? Would Pro Tools receive all Machine
Control Commands? Or would there be any Pro Tools specific
restrictions? Would there be any other things to consider or anything
specific that needs to be pointed out?

Any help would be great.

I use Pro Tools v 6.4 with a Digi001 and a Yamaha DM2000 that has
transport controls and track arming. It work perfectly utilizing the
USB connector.

Good to know but you have the privilege of having usb on your desk.
The Spirit 328 is a much older beast and lacks these luxuries.
Nevertheless, wouldn't sell it for the world. Well..perhaps for a
Neve.
