With your computer, you not only change out the drive, you also use different software, and that is the big rub. Also, the computer has huge amounts of CPU available, while the CPU in a typical embedded system is only as powerful as it absolutely needs to be, to save cost. Did Sony ever come out with a DVD version of the W33?? My searches only come up with the W66 but that is still a CD burner with the addition of a keyboard input to enter cd info.
